Job Description

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our custodial team. This position must ensure contractual site requirements and specifications are met. Responsible for the success of assigned staff at client locations, including managing, training, and mentoring of staff. Understands site(s) budgeted hours and supplies and adheres to that budget. Acts as liaison with clients and works toward contract renewals and add-on business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Produces invoices billing the client for labor and subcontractors.
  • Ensures a safe work environment by ensuring employees are following safety regulations and procedures.
  • Accountable for assigned sites’ operational success.
  • Works within assigned budgeted hours and supply dollars.
  • Ensures sites are operating within contracted specifications.
  • Performs Site Inspections and addresses identified deficiencies.
  • Ensures required reporting is done correctly and on time.
  • Look for opportunities to provide additional services to meet client needs.
  • Maintains good client relations with all clients in order to renew and extend current contracts; seeks additional sales opportunities within existing sites.
  • Improve Quality and overall operational success at customer locations.
  • Ensures staff have all the proper equipment to perform their jobs.
  • Ensures proper site staffing and project staffing.
  • Ensures all assigned equipment is maintained, clean and in good working condition.
  • Ensures staff completes all assigned training programs.
  • Ensures consistency of operations at all customer locations.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Janitorial management: 10 years of progressive career experience in managing custodial services for school districts.
  • Staff management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, terminating, and performance appraisals.
  • Management experience in a diverse environment
  • Ability to coordinate and lead capital projects, maintenance plans, and funding requests from conception to completion is required.
  • Requires strong financial analysis, interpretation, budgeting, and computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership, customer service, communication and team building skills.
  • Must be very organized and be able to work well under pressure, while handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

 

Some physical requirements include:

 

  • Regularly lift to 50 lbs
  • Regularly climb ladders and steps,
  • Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement.
  • Walk extensively throughout the site during shift.
  • Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions
