Job Description

Accounting Analyst to provide the Controller, VP of Finance and CFO with assistance on all financial-related tasks.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

  • Coordinate the monthly closing process and issue financial reporting package to management
  • Maintain internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements
  • Prepare various account reconciliations monthly
  • Assist with the processing and submission of invoices
  • Reviews and processes balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
  • Generate and distribute general accounting reports
  • Review financial data on a monthly basis and raise concerns and observations to Controller and CFO
  • Ability to conduct financial planning and analysis
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines is critical
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • 3 or more years' experience working in an accounting Dept.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, payroll policies, laws and guidelines and has the ability to translate technical terms into practical accounting policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Must possess analytical and critical thinking skills in reading, interpreting, analyzing and applying information from documentation
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Edge, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • High degree of confidence and ability to interact with all levels of the company
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend American English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
