Summary of responsibilities:         

 

The Records Clerk position is responsible for conducting the day-to-day activities related to Rahway Records Center, as instructed by the Team Leader and in accordance with the work schedule calendar and customer's requirement. The Records Clerk position will report to the Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Perform Records Center related tasks under direct supervision of Team Leader. 

•       Process outgoing Records Center related UPS packages as needed

•       Provide administrative support related to answering department phones, and completion of department paperwork.

•       Retrieve and prepare outgoing/incoming deliveries at the loading dock

•       Ensure proper inventory controls and housekeeping in the warehouse and vaults

•       Retrieve customer requested boxes from the warehouse and ensure proper inventory controls are maintained to ensure accuracy inventory

•       Support the Team Lead in ensuring the Records Center Inbox is monitored at all times and as requested by the Team Lead

•       Scan Records related documents/books as needed for archiving and back-up

•       Interface with vendors to set-up pick-ups/deliveries of records documents as needed

•       Inspect all work-related equipment to ensure that it is operational and safe. Report damages and follow up.

•       Maintain all work related equipment (including preventative maintenance)

•       Assist customers and respond to inquiries to ensure that a high level of Customer Service is maintained.

•       Assist in gathering production numbers to prepare monthly reports

•       Assist in conducting general safety inspections and participate in job-related training as required.

•       Other duties as assigned

Additional requirements:

 

•       High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

•       Strong phone/communication skills.

•      Good customer service skills.

•       Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office

•       Ability to operate manual, electric, and motorized cart pallet jacks

•       Ability to lift heavy boxes

•       Ability to keep detailed and accurate records
